I've posted two albums from this elusive French label earlier, both featuring composers new to me. This one, by Phil Davies, is no different, and a very positive surprise. The a-side, Aerial Horizons, features beautiful airy synth-ambience, aswell as the amazing upbeat 'Flying High', while the b-side, Suave Descriptions, is more of a pornographic affair, and not as interesting as the a-side, imo. Btw, if you're in possession of Yan Tregger/Daniel Scotto's Hypnosis, also on Magicabus, don't be a stranger and drop me a mail! Enjoy this one:)
Capitol Production Music - Media Music The Professional 18 - Roger Webb - Prime Time/Contempo
Post #100! This one features the amazing 'Flying Objects' by Roger Webb from the Dirk Diggler docu in Boogie Nights. As the track wasn't included on either soundtrack-releases, the search introduced me to librarymusic. This album has kept slipping through my fingers, but Smys saves the day and offers his rip of this great album! Thanks :)
Monique Music Library - mml 011 - Johanna D'Armagnac - The Art Of Synergy
Another MML obscurity, here are five atmospheric pieces made with the legendary Synergy Synthesizer, pictured on the wonderful cover. As usual with MML, info is scarce, so I know nothing about this composer. Please leave a comment if you do. Amazing music, enjoy!
Smoother than expected this one, having bought it after hearing Rimbert's synthy Bionic Orchestra (shared on 36 15 MOOG). Several tunes here remind me of Mezzoforte and their many Japanese and American counterparts doing catchy popjazz. Rimbert also has a few releases on April Orchestra that would be great getting.
Picked up a few cds from Cosmos, which I think is an Austrian label. Couldn't find much info, anyone know when this was released? Composers are Ryszard Szeremeta, Peer Böhm, Jim Glass, Ron Rich, Eric Stone, Louis Reede, Peter Hunt and Otakar Olsanik, enjoy!
