"Big Up Massive" to Delerious1 & Ptrond for this Bruton delight..I think thats how the young people thank each other these days ;)
When you said more to come delerious1 would that include Hawkshaw's "Mysterious World" album by any chance? I am pretty sure I have asked every library blog and poster going about this album! its a late 70s childhood nostalgia thing as the Arthur C Clarke program from whence the music is from was a huge childhood imprint for me.
Yes, I have a strange feeling that my constant nagging and whining to various library blogs about posting Alan Hawkshaw's Mysterious World may be about to pay off!
If it was out in CD/digital form I would have snapped it up long ago...speaking of soundtracks to revisionist history films the CD reissue of Peter Thomas's 1970 soundtrack to Chariots Of The Gods based on Erich von Däniken's ancient astronaut theories just dropped through the door with ten or so extra tracks on the original release...
....if you or anyone wants a rip I would be glad to oblige just in case anyone thought I was just a leeching bastard lol.
I forgot to add, the three Zoe De Souza tracks are absolutely outstanding on the Aggressive Advertising album and have a very cool proto-house feel or at the very least anticipate certain styles that would come to fruition a few years after 1985 (though of course the tracks could have been recorded earlier, hard to tell..)
The only other reference I can find to 'Zoe De Souza' are some tracks on the 1984 Bruton 'Good Morning America! album so I wondered if any of you senior library heads had heard the tracks by her/him....?
Zoe De Souza, has to be a pseudonym..for some reason I keep thinking of a certain Li De La Russe...nah cannot be! though it is an entertaining fantasy to contemplate ;)
Hi, the saucer people! There are tunes by Zoe De Souza on a Bruton posted here, Nature Study 2. I see now that I've misspelled the name. I love your feedback on the posts btw, that's what makes this fun :)
WOW! It's my pleasure for you Ptrond. More to come.
